We, the mothers, wives, widows, grandmothers, sisters, daughters, stepdaughters and granddaughters of the American Veteran and female veterans, fully realizing our responsibilities to the community, State and Nation, associate ourselves for the following purpose: To uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America; to safeguard the principles of freedom, liberty and justice for all; to promote the cause of peace and good will among nations; to maintain inviolate the freedom of our country; to preserve the fundamentals of democracy and Americanism; to perpetuate the friendship and associations of the American Veteran and to dedicate ourselves to the cause of mutual assistance this by the grace of God. First and formost, we do anything in support of our AmVets Post operations. In addition we are active in fundraising and support of all Veterans. We acitively work with Signature Healthcare of Taylorsville, Kentucky to ensure all Veteran residents are supported and honored through visits, gifts and care packages. We also work with the 21st Century Learning Center at the local school to promote patriatism as well as community outreach oportunities for the program students. We support Paws with a Purpose, an organization who provides service animals to Veterans. We work with the AmVets Post 129 to place flags on all headstones of Veterans within Spencer County, Kentucky. |
